Don't know what to do. I need to go to Chicago tomorrow for serious family illness, but the drama which is my dad, is overwhelming. Fuck.

Of course, this is the one I'm going to select to display (because my humor is that of a child), but this site has truly spectacular images otherwise..... I promise!

I understand I've stolen this visual from Charlie, who stole it from someone else...all I can say is thanks! I am totally computer challenged...

When someone smiles at you, do you smile back?
I stick out my tongue.

Describe the flooring in your home. Do you have carpet, hardwood, vinyl, a mix?
I have a mix: carpet in bedrooms, vinyl in bathroom/kitchen and hardwood everywhere else. Since I rent I'm not in complete control of this fact and would like hardwood throughout. I'm working on this though, I recently pulled up the carpet in the living room to find pretty decent hardwood. It's one room at a time right now for I pay a pretty penny in rent and need to take it slow.

Do you know anyone whose life has been touched by adoption?
That would be I. When someone says they were adopted, this usually means at birth, which is not my case. My mother did not give me up, but my father did not take part in my life. My true father (stepdad technically) adopted me at age 18 after raising me since I was six years old. This day was a very happy one even though we didn't need to legalize our reality, it still made me feel so loved. I've never known my Pop to be anything other than that and my claws come out when people say "but he's not your real father right...". Well, yes, he fucking is. He raised me, loved me, cared for me and this is what a "real" father is.

Ok, I've been sent this page several times during my Stumble career and each time I forget about what unfolds as I scroll down. Guess my memory isn't all cracked up to what I thought it was. However, I digress.
When I get to Nicole Kidman's photo, I shutter and think for a split second "What am I doing on this list"? We were the spitting image of one another as a child. I've seen more pics of her that literally FREAK ME OUT! Now, the pics that I added of myself are not the best representations, there is one picture of myself that is almost identical, but I've not been able to drudge it up (maybe mom or grandma has it). I'll keep on searching...
In my late teens, when I worked at a coffee house, some of the customers commented that they thought I looked like Nicole and oddly enough Jane Fonda. I wish this was still the case! I may have looked like Nicole as a child, but I think I've taken a dive off the deep end as an adult.
